Sankheda Furniture:

This is a unique type of furniture, reflecting centuries of historic skill and craftsmanship, and painstaking attention to detail. Sankheda village in Gujarat is its place of origin, where artisans have carried on this unique skill from generation to generation. Essentially it is teakwood that is given the characteristic round shape on a lathe and subsequently given a lacquered finish to give its typical glow. The furniture is further embellished with bells and painted with delicate silver motifs to give it a truly ethnic look.

The colour options provided in the pictures, gives an idea of the finishes possible. The variety of Sankheda furniture available is also enormous as is reflected by the pictures.
